Show the type of the columns of a collection

Lets say I have a collection in PowerApps.

I can show this if I click on the (x) icon on the left side.

For example like this:

web265p3_0-1712674646055.png

You can see that I have a collection called "xxx" with the columns "Dauer", "Einsatzdatum", "Id"...

But how can I know the type of those columns?

For example the Id-Field could be a number or Text. I can just see that it has the value 1018, but not the type.

However, this is sometimes very useful.

Is there any trick I am missing?

    Hi @web265p3

In PowerApps, it's not directly possible to determine the data type of columns within a collection just by looking at the data displayed in the collection viewer.

You can inspect individual values within a collection using formulas like IsBlank, IsNumeric, IsText, etc., to infer the type of data. For example:

// Check if the first value in 'Id' column of 'MyCollection' is numeric
    If(IsNumeric(MyCollection[Id]), "Numeric", "Text")

    Thanks!

Maybe to mention, that an @-is missing:

    If(IsNumeric(MyCollection[@Id]), "Numeric", "Text")

For me this does not work.

If I create a new collection like this:

    Collect(AA, {A: 3, B: "Text", C: Today()})

And then I try to evaluate it like this:

    If(IsNumeric(AA[@A]), "Numeric", "Text")

It ALWAYS evaluates to "Text", no matter if I write @A, @B or @C
