I recently had an issue where some functionality in my app seemed to be not working correctly. I had a hard time figuring out what went wrong, until I ran my app in the desktop using a browser and saw that a data patch didn't seem to be working; an error notification greeted me in the top of the screen telling me that a patch command failed because of insufficient rights to the entity I was trying to patch.
I'm pretty certain those notifications used to be visible in iOS powerapps as well.

This usually happens if your are using an account with insuficient rights.
The notifications are still there and should be visible inside iOS Player as well. What version of Player you´re using on iOS?
Latest version, I just updated today.
