Hi everyone. I have a VERY limited working knowledge of Dataverse tables. I am using a table to manage our 25,000 assets. In my powerapp I am trying to pull in distinct values into a dropdown, but I hit the 2000 limit and I am missing multiple vendor names. Is there a way around this using a view or creating another table with a dataflow and showing only the distinct values?Hope I have explained myself enough. Thanks!
Chris
Hello, Thanks for reaching out.
I assume you are working with a Canvas App and creating a dropdown from a query of the assets table. To get all the records I would create a view on the table that filters to the distinct record list. Then add a page to canvas app that lists the records leveraging that view. With the list page there is a search feature to help users find what they need. Then they would select from that list and you would navigate them to whatever form entry or next step in the process would be.
If this helps please mark as a solution or give a kudos.
Have a great day!
Tom
Hi @thomasfnorthrup ,
Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the ignorance but I am not sure how to add filter onto the DV table using distinct. I understand the premise, but the only filters I am seeing are like "contains, starts with" etc. Thanks again
Hi Helper,
I'm sorry I was thinking there was some data points in your table that would indicate the record is unique. You are correct there is no way to filter on distinct Name for example. Might be better to dedupe the data?
Best of luck.
Believe the 2000 limit is because you are using collections in a Canvas app, if so the following link may give you some ways to work around it.

@CK did you find solution to this problem? I am facing same issue.
