Hi All,

Does anyone know if and how a PowerApp user can be set up to share app with new users without making them a co-owner?

Thanks!

I have the same question (0)

I don't think that's possible.  They need ownership rights to be able to share the App.

    Hi @lknudson2 ,

    According to the documentation:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/share-app

If you want to allow those with whom you're sharing the app to edit and share it (in addition to running it), select the Co-owner check box.

    Regards,

    Mona

Thanks for your input.  It confirmed my findings (or rather, lack of) when I tried various permission settings.

It is only one application, so I opted to use share with "Everyone in org" and control access with licensing to PowerApps in AZ admin.  I think this will work for my needs for now.

Keep an  eye out for when MS turns on self-service licensing for PowerApps.  At that point anyone with a credit card can buy their own license, which you as an admin won't be able to manage.  Self-service licensing will be turned on by default, but can be turned off if required.  There is also the current issue of people signing up for trials.  Taht will also give them access to the app even though you've removed their license.

I do have internal security within app itself and sharing to Everyone does not allow edit or re-share option.

However, if Self-Serve and/or Trial versions would allow app Edit privileges, I will need to watch out.

    Thanks for the tips!
