30 Day Free Trial Option Missing

Afternoon everyone.

Occasionally, we'll use the 30 day free trial for colleagues who don't have a premium license to test new functionality & the feasibility of using new apps in the place of old manual processes.

Over the last week though we've been seeing some unexpected behaviour. Colleagues who have started the 30 day free trial but haven't yet reached the the full 30 days are now seeing a message saying they need a license when trying to access the premium app. They don't have the option to extend for another 30 days either.

Also users who haven't used their 30 day trial previously now don't get the option to start one.

Has there been a change in the availability of the 30 day trial?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi @SeanTait,

If a user has never used a Power Apps trial but still only sees “You need a Power Apps license to use this app” (no “Start trial” option), it usually means self-service trials/sign-up are blocked in the tenant, or the trial SKU isn’t available/assignable to them.

    Admin should check the following:

    • In Microsoft 365 admin center → Settings → Org settings → Services → Self-service trials and purchases, make sure Power Apps trials are Allowed. If it’s set to “Do not allow,” users won’t see the trial option at all.

    • Also verify the tenant setting for self-service sign-up (AllowAdHocSubscriptions). If this is disabled, users can’t self-start trials.

    • If trials are allowed but some users still hit the license screen, check Billing → self-service trials and confirm the trial subscription exists and users can be assigned (admins can “take over” management of these trials).

if needed more info you can find to the Docs below:

Thank you, turns out Trial Licenses have been discontinued by Admins in my Tenant.
