Hi.

I have a weird situation here.

I have Customer self service portal changes in one of the higher instance. I just moved those data to dev environment. After moving the data am able to see Footer in the portal which is not displaying in the higher instance(which is a required behavior). I do not want to display the footer in dev environment as well.

I have verified the bootstrap.min.css , theme.css and other content snippets but its exactly the same as in higher instance. I dont know whats making it to display in dev environment.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Geetha

    Hello Geetha,

The Footer template is configured in the Website Record.  Please see the screenshot below.  Anything in that template should display on the page.

However since you are seeing a different behavior after the migration, we have to consider that the migration itself failed.  If it were successful, we should have the same portal in both environments.

There are several tools to perform this action, but we recommend using the Configuration Migration Tool.  Please be sure to use the correct schema.

If you are still having issues, I would recommend opening a support ticket for further investigation.

    Hi @Anonymous

As @MarkBiggerstaf  mentioned please check the footer template.

Just one thing which I would like to highlight here. Check portals versions in dev and prod environment. It should be the same. If any of the portals is not upgraded then you may miss some of the functionality unless the wrong schema file or migration failed.

@MarkBiggerstaf  Thanks a lot for the solution. As am new to Portal what i did was, while migrating i dint choose Websites as it would overwrite the domain URL which i dint want. As part of Websites as u showed header and footer templates were different. This was causing the problem. It worked when i changed the templates accordingly.

Thanks much. I really appreciate ur help 🙂
