Transform Data with Excel | Date value = null

Hi lovely Community,

when I deleting some Dates in Date Column of Dataverse Table in Excel, I can publish it successfully, but after review in Dataverse Table on PowerApps I've recognized theres "1900-01-01" instead of my deleted Date as "null".

Any Ideas how to set date values in Excel without getting "1900-01-01" in Dataverse Table?

Or is this a bug?

BR,

Sven

    Hi @KSven,

Can you walk me through your process and how you are deleting the dates?

I did the following in a Model App:

    1.  Updated a date only field on a record to set the date at 5/10/2021

    2.  From the List view exported the records to Excel

    3.  Cleared the date in the Excel file for that record

    4.  Imported the data from Excel

It cleared the record's date successfully:

Are you doing this differently than above?

    Thanks much,

    Drew

    Hi @dpoggemann ,

    thank you for your reply.

    Here's the process:

    1. I've a Dataverse Table and would like to make changes in Date Column. So I choose the Excel Add-In Power Apps to connect to my desired table.

    2. Selecting relevant Columns with Power Apps Addin

    3. Make some changes and select or type date values

    4. Publish Changes to Dataverse Table.

--> Works fine, but when I delete one date value like "2021-01-01" to "" and publish it, it works, but when I check Dataverse table, there's "1900-01-01" as date value instead of "" or null.

    Hope you can reproduce it..

    BR,

    Hi @Anonymous ,

we still have the issue., but we are already working with PowerApps to edit Date values.

Of course this is not solution.

Editing with Excel should work as well. I guess someone should open a support ticket for it...

    Hi @KSven

Yeah we have the same issue for a client but over 3000 records and even more date fields, too many to do it manually.

Can't seem to make it work with power automate either

Maybe you have to enable your Power Automate Settings to Experimental:

    Hi @P3Sven

Thank you! Now my flow works fine!

I have tried all the Excel ways ( Edit or Export) and still didn't get it to work. I resolved this issue with the DataFlows. Create DataFlow to upload data from Excel file to your Dataverse table and It will insert a blank value when the date is null.
