Hi, I recently got access to the MS Pro Dev environment. I am creating a chatbot using Power Virtual agent in Microsoft Team. The use case needs an action to be triggered to a Power Automate flow. The flow will make a call to an external API (likely an Azure function) and return the result to the virtual agent.
When I try to create an action from the Power Virtual agent in the MS Pro Dev environment, I am getting the following error:
I am able to create bots using the MS Personal productivity environment. Can you help resolve this issue?
Indeed. Thanks Henry. I was missing the environment maker role which should have been assigned along with the environment access. I have got it now and can create the agent.
Hi @PankajGoel,
Your error message looks like a permission issue. Does your user either have System Administrator, System Customizer, or Environment Maker? You seem to be missing the privilege to read chatbots.
Henry
Hi Peter, I went through the document and followed the steps in "Create a bot in an existing environment" section. I then followed the steps in the link: Create conversational chatbots - Power Virtual Agents | Microsoft Learn
I am still getting the following error. If this is a permission error, can you suggest how this can be resolved?
You can review setting up PVA for an environment here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/environments-first-run-experience
If you do not have access to any of those steps you will need to contact the environment admin for help.
Thanks Peter. I am able to create Power automate flows in the same environment without any issues. I do have access to the MS Pro dev environment.
I am able to create the Power Virtual agent chatbots in the default environment but get error in the MS Pro dev environment.
What additional permissions are needed for this?
This is a DLP error; you either need to get permissions from your environment admin, or create the app in a new environment.
