Sharepoint list editted form: is the "Edit form" edited in another part?

So i just read this post with no solution that is having the same issue as me:How to keep values in Editform when editing an ent... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

Here they are talking about an Edit Form. As of now, I only have one Screen that is being used both for when you create a new entry and when you edit. Can this be the root cause of my comboBoxes showing up as blank when you go to edit a new item?

How do I set an Edit screen that makes sure that every selected item in the comboboxes remain populated with what you selected in the New entry process?

    Hi @WorkingRicardo ,

    Please try this:

    Combo box:

    OnChange:Set(var,Self.SelectedItems)
    DefaultSelectedItems:var

    Best regards,

    Rimmon

Hi  @v-mengmli-msft  Thanks for your reply.

Nope, that did not work either. If I go to edit something it still goes blank. The only thing that changed with that code is that if I edit something, then go to the next edit, the Item that I edited remains by default, overwriting whatever was in that next edit.

First one is the new entry I saved:

    New entryNew entry

Then this one is the one being edited, its just remains for all other editing entries.

    Hi @WorkingRicardo ,

If you want to take the default value when you edit the item and just autofill last created value to next created item, please modify the code:

    OnChange:If(SharePointForm1.Mode=FormMode.New, Set(var,Self.SelectedItems))
    DefaultSelectedItems:If(SharePointForm1.Mode=FormMode.New, var,ThisItem.ColumnName)

    Best regards,

    Rimmon

Hi again @v-mengmli-msft , tks again for quick reply.

The code you told me generates this error in the DefaultSelectedItems:
    A Table value was expected.
The property of this control expects Table values. The rule generates Void values, which is incompatible.

What should I do? Furthermore, I dunno if this will create the result I want. I want all already created entries to have their comboboxes not changed/not go blank when you go to edit mode. Does that do that?

    Hi @WorkingRicardo ,

    The code does.

    Please show me the screenshot.

    Hey @v-mengmli-msft, here you go:

    OnChange.PNG

    DefaultSelected.PNG

    These are the translations:

    ocr.PNG

Thisltem = This formula uses the scope, which is not supported Data Type: Currently Registered for Evaluation.

And the error for DefaultSelectedItems is the one I pasted before:

    A Table value was expected.
The property of this control expects Table values. The rule generates Void values, which is incompatible.

    Hi @WorkingRicardo ,

The error shows "ThisItem.Nombre" is not a table. Please check the type of this column.

If it is not a choice column, I hope you can show the Items of the combo box.

    Best regards,

    Rimmon

    Hello @v-mengmli-msft,

Ok! I change the ThisItem part to the name of the Excel table and it kind of works. Code now for OnChange is:

    If(SharePointForm1.Mode=FormMode.New; varivari;Table1.Producto)

With this if I go to edit, it remains saved. Problem now... That selected item is set as default for every new edit and it even overwrites what would be selected for that new item you are editing. For new entries, the item is set to blank. I could leave like this... but would love if it was possible that each item has its selected item and it doesn't change even if you are editing 10 diferent entries, etc.

At least, if you go to edit an entry and you change the item from the Default overwritten one, to the one that was in the first place, it does set it to that in Sharepoint. So it's only cumbersome, but would rather if there was a fix.

Any ideas? Appreciate so much your input so far!
