SharePoint document management for managed solution

Hi

I have a model-driven app that allows users to upload confidential documents onto SharePoint from the Related -> Documents tab in a form. It works fine in my dev environment. However, when it's imported as a managed solution I can enable SharePoint integration with Dataverse but it doesn't recognise the custom table. If I allow customizations (managed properties) for that table when creating the managed solution it works fine.

I'd rather not have to allow customizations at all. Is there a secure way around this? Thanks.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Dartanian1975,

Can you provide more detail as to where you are experiencing the issue exactly? Is it in the configure document management settings wizard that you're not seeing the table? Or somewhere else?

In your solution, are you including the metadata for your table, and the 1 to many relationship between your table and Document Location?

    Hi @ChrisPiasecki

Yes, exactly - it's the document management wizard where the tables aren't appearing. This is what it looks like when it works (4 custom tables). But if customizations are not allowed on the tables then I don't see them listed here.

I've enabled SP Document management for each table (under table settings -> advanced settings). This is what I have for the Document Location table when it's working.

The problem is that once you set the managed properties of a component to 'allow customizations' you can't turn it off again in a later import. Seems an unnecessary restriction - one I hope MS will review at some point.

    Hi @Dartanian1975,

In the environment you imported the managed solution, can you confirm the settings for each of your custom tables that the "Setting up SharePoint Document Management" option is checked?
