Power App Error Message - The Requested Resource is Locked

Hello,

I built a Power App that edits an Excel spreadsheet stored on OneDrive.  The spreadsheet gets its data from a MS Form.  However, when ever someone submits a new form submission, the Power App stops working and gives this error message:  The requested resource is locked. Server Response: Table1 failed: Cannot write file to filesource. File is being locked. clientRequestId: 0cddb2f4-09eb-46b1-85fc-6d664cb03b43 serviceRequestId: 0cddb2f4-09eb-46b1-85fc-6d664cb03b43;0cddb2f4-09eb-46b1-85fc-6d664cb03b43;0cddb2f4-09eb-46b1-85fc-6d664cb03b43;0cddb2f4-09eb-46b1-85fc-6d664cb03b43;0cddb2f4-09eb-46b1-85fc-6d664cb03b43

Can you help me with this issue?  If I could get the App to be able to function while the MS Form is in use, it would save my company a fortune.

Thank you!

If someone is using your app connected with the EXCEL file via MS Forms or some other way it will be locked.  There's not any workaround.  You must switch your datasource to something else like SharePoint.

Thanks for responding...But now I'm confused.  Because when I connect to data in Power Apps and select SharePoint, it only lets me choose a list.  Selecting a spreadsheet in SharePoint is not even an option.  What am I doing wrong?

    Hi @Anonymous

SharePoint as a data source for PowerApps lets you select lists and libraries, not specifically files, for this you can store the file in OneDrive.

    Best Regards

You can't store a spreadsheet in SharePoint and then access it.  It can only be done in OneDrive which is where I assume you are having the problem.

Just use a SharePoint list.  It's similar to an Excel table but its on a webpage.

Just check if your excel file is not opened while you are trying to update from app. Actually it is not recommended to use both (excel file and app) at same time. Hope this helps.

    Olá.
Mas as listas não tem limites de linhas. Preciso de uma base que possa suportar mais de 10000 registros
