Hello All,

I am about to Share a PowerApp with a group of users. The challenge that i am facing is that this group can be 100+ people and if i share the URL found in the details section with them directly, there is a high chance that they book mark the URL. In this case, when a new version is published, they may still use the old app url/version.

Another option is to embed the URL as a button in SharePoint site, but even then when the user clicks the URL, the Power App will play in the browser and the above URL will be visible to the end users and they can still bookmark them.

The biggest problem is the sourcetime parameter in the PowerApp web link. If the user bookmarks an older url, then the newly published URL may not be used which will result in issues. How can we workaround this problem, if the sourcetime parameter and tenant id is removed from the URL, will it still point to the recently published version ?

hey

when you publish a new version the URL should not change, the only thing it changes is when you have a different environment.

The first part of the URL and the tenant ID is retained but the sourcetime at the end of the URL changes due to which if the user is using the old url will be directed to the the old version of the app.

i found a link to another topic,

the only thing that matters for using as link is everything infront of ?tenantid, i just tried and only copied that oart out and it works.

so in your case stick to the screenshot
