I am very new to this and I have got a bit stuck

I have a dropdown list that is populated from an excel Table, in that table I have a link to online hosted PDF

I am trying to get it so that when the user makes the selection and presses SUBMIT (which goes to a new page with PDF Viewer) PDF viewer gets the link from the table associated with the original selection.

I think I need to get the selection choice turn in to variable and use that to reference back to the table but I'm unsure where in the app I need to do this if this is what I need to do? Or is there another way to do this?
