Allow users to revoke permissions from Canvas App

Hello all,

I am looking for a suggestion. I have created a PowerApps with Office 365 Outlook and Office 365 Users connectors.

One of the user has issue with Outlook connector whose one of description line says "Read, update, and delete your emails" (for details, refer attached image). The app only sends an email from users outlook.

Please advise if a user initially click on "allow" permissions for the app, can it be revoked?

Or do we have any workaround / solution / response to user for that?

    Hi @nitinbalodi

    I understand that you have created a PowerApps with Office 365 Outlook and Office 365 Users connectors and one of your users is concerned about the Outlook connector's description which says "Read, update, and delete your emails".

    It's understandable that your user may have concerns about the level of access that the Outlook connector has to their emails. However, it's important to note that this level of access is necessary for the Outlook connector to be able to send emails on the user's behalf.

    To address your user's concerns, you can explain that the Outlook connector is only used to send emails and does not actually read, update, or delete any of their emails. In addition, you can also reassure them that the data transmitted through the Outlook connector is encrypted and secure.

    If your user is still uncomfortable with the level of access that the Outlook connector has, you can consider creating a custom connector with more restricted permissions that only allows for sending emails. This will provide your user with a greater level of control and reassurance about their email data.

    Overall, it's important to be transparent with your users about the level of access that connectors have to their data and address any concerns they may have to ensure that they feel comfortable using the PowerApp.

    Thanks,
    Sanshubh

    Thank you @SanshubhLubal , I have already shared the functionality/usage of connector, but user seems to be unconvinced. I will try to create a custom connector. thanks again.

    @SanshubhLubal

    another query, in addition to that can you guide me to any resources to create custom connector to send email from Outlook 365.

    Or another solution I can try is to send email with attachments from PowerApps without using Outlook connector, but no idea if this is feasible.

    Thanks again.
