Hi everyone!

I'm stucked in something. I'm using the 'barcode scanner control' and i want to modify the zoom value when scanning because i need to read a QR code that is far away from the camera.

I found a post that explains how to do this but it's for a deprecated function so i can't use it.

That 'zoom' property is not longer available 😞

I wish i could simple make a bigger qr code so i can read it but its impossible because i use a special paper with a unique size.

If someone knows how to do this, please let me know, thank you!

Hi @cirodom ,

Would you like to zoom in the scanner when scanning the QR code?

I tested it according to your needs, but found that currently Zoom property has gone (may be deprecated) for the Barcode Scanner control, it won't act like the scan feature in other Apps either to recognize QR and zoom in automatically.

If you would like this feature to be added into power apps, please consider suggest an idea in idea forum:

Thanks for the reply @v-jefferni,
I just want to modify the default zoom value when i open the scanner. I need 2x zoom, or i won't be able to scan the code.

Is there an ability to Zoom while using the barcode scanner? We created a very useful app for our warehouse workers to transfer materials via QR codes, but the camera does not zoom at all so it will not reach the location labels on the 2nd or 3rd racks. Seems like 5 feet is the maximum distance it can read a QR code without the zoom.

It seems like there isn't an ability to zoom using the barcode scanner because that property is deprecated 😞 maybe you can do something with the camera control or set the default zoom value from the cellphone
