Hello, I believe I have a straightforward question, but I'm not entirely sure.
I've recently started using Copilot Studio to create a chatbot that can answer questions based solely on a single document. Essentially, all questions posed should be answered by AI using the text from the uploaded document.
My question is: how do I configure Copilot to make this function properly? I've made several attempts, but I'm struggling to get it to work as intended. Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your responses.
I don't know if this will solve anyway go to the Generative AI screen: under the list of document you uploaded you'll find a dropdown with 3 levels of AI moderation (default is Medium): to limit the "fantasy" of AI you've to set it to HIGH so copilot will be more focused on uploaded docs and will reduce the AI calls.
Hi, where you able to achieve his, i am currently in the same scenario, and i have tried everything i have laid my hands on, and it still not generating content form the document i uploaded to the data verse
@Gericom My chatbot is giving responses/answers/text which are not present in the documents I am providing. I want to ensure that the bot's knowledge is confined to the training materials and doesn't extend to external sources. Please help.
AI isn't naturally involved in all Copilot's answers.
You'll find a system topic named "Conversational boosting" which is the one responsible of invoke AI in conversation. Open it and you'll see that it is triggered onUnknownIntent or, in other words, when Copilot doesn't understand what user want.
If you desire AI is present in all your topics you've to insert a Create a Generative answer block like that in all your topic remembering that you don't have control on AI's answers except for the document you can give it as source.

Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate your assistance, but I think my original question might not have been clear enough. Indeed, I understand how to upload a document in the generative AI section. However, my issue is with the specific settings within Copilot Studio after uploading the document.
When I pose a question to the chatbot, it doesn't seem to consistently generate answers based on the text in the uploaded document, even when I don’t change any other settings after the upload. Could you advise on the specific configurations or settings needed to ensure that every response from the chatbot is directly derived from the content of the uploaded document? Are there certain steps or parameters that I need to set up for this?

you can do this by going to generative AI and upload your file
your answers will be generated bases on your doc at that moment
