Select appears to be Async and no way to influence that - Any Updates??

This has been a known issue and in 2020 a microsoft person said they are working on features to make this better. Has anyone seen any updates or feature adds that make this better? Or is everyone just constantly doing workarounds and pasting the code in all the places needed? Seems like something they should have fixed by now. Link to github discussion.

I believe Select calls are executed after the current code block. I'm assuming you're using Select as a function, I don't think MS will change how this works, but the new enhanced behaviours for components means you can write a component with user defined functions.

Thanks for response Chris. Those are still 'experimental' so we don't want to use those yet. And a lot of user defined functions have lots of limitations.
