Canvas App Screen Appears Shifted or Off-Center After Publishing

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with a Canvas App where the screen layout appears shifted to the left after publishing, even though everything looks correctly aligned in the editor.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • I manually set the X property of buttons and labels using the formula (App.Width - Self.Width) / 2 to center them.
  • I verified that the screen width is set to 1229 and that all controls (buttons, labels, images) are within that width.
  • I also tried adjusting the ImagePosition to ImagePosition.Center and confirmed that the Align property is set to Align.Center for relevant controls.
  • Despite these changes, when the app is published and viewed in the browser, the entire layout appears off-center or shifted to the left.

Here’s a summary of the layout:

  • A header label and rectangle at the top.
  • Four main buttons (O&CI Tool, IdeaLab, Training, CI Dashboard) with accompanying labels.
  • All controls are placed directly on the screen, not inside containers or galleries.

I’ve attached screenshots showing how it looks in the editor vs. how it renders after publishing.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a known fix or best practice to ensure the screen stays centered across different resolutions and browsers?

Thanks in advance for your help!

This is pretty standard honestly, however, can you go into your Settings of the app and see if you have Embedding turned on as a setting so it can try to fix this?

BTW, what is the resolution of that browser window? Compared to the width of your app?

Thanks, Michael. I already tried that without success. My last test was creating a new app, and that one didn’t have the problem, so I suspect it’s related to the initial configuration of the canvas. Probably, I didn’t set it up as responsive (I did in the last test). Does anyone know if there’s any way to change the initial configuration in an already built app?
