I am also experiencing this error.  When I setup the Power BI connector and then change the first input to select a value, the list of workspaces I have access to is shown.  I can either select the named workspace from the list or enter the group ID.  The datasetid does not function this way.  I have no list to select from and I get the error whether I enter the name or the guid of the dataset.  It appears that the connector is not fully functional as of yet.  It always fails with this error on the dataset lookup.  I own the datasets I am testing and it shows my workspaces so permissions are not an issue.

Hi, I'm also facing the same issue. I've checked the Power BI website, and permissions are granted.

Error Message: The connector ‘Power BI’ returned an HTTP error with code 400.
    Error Code: ConnectorRequestFailure

Could someone  assist with resolving this?

    Hi @Vidisha,

    2. Then search 'App registrations'
    3. Select your copilot bot
    4. Select 'API permissions' and then click 'add a permission'
    5. Assign the Power BI Service permission to your bot.

That is what solved my problem.

    I have same issue
And adding Power BI service to the API didn't help.

    I had the following issue:

Check the API Limits:: The 400 error can sometimes be triggered by API limitations or throttling. Ensure you're not hitting the API limits for Power BI.

other checks: Check if the dataset is certified or promoted for easier access.  Check the Microsoft 365 Service Health Dashboard to ensure there are no ongoing outages or issues with the Power BI service.

    Hello,

have you tried the suggestion from SpongYe.

Issue must be due to API Perminssions.

    Thanks.
