Ideas to add rows into a "table"

Hi,

I am a beginner to Power Apps.
My company has tasked me to create
a job application form.

Some sections like Education qualification and
Employement history  requires
"table-like" entry e.g. Date, Position held,
Employer's Name.

I understand a little bit of Parent and Child tables and
use of gallery control but somehow it does
not seem to fit nicely into this type form.

Is there a simple way to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi 0orion0

    I hope you're well.

    Using SharePoint list:

    • I am assuming the PowerApps Form is based off a SharePoint list that will be updated when the Applicant submits the form.
    • If that is the case, when you've added the "Edit Form control" and you've connected it to the SharePoint list, the App should automatically create the Form. With each question being the names of the SharePoint columns.
    • Then you can edit the formatting etc.

    General tips:

    • I'd recommend watching- "Power Apps Form Control Tutorial - New Edit Form" by Reza Dorrani on YouTube as Reza talks you through the control, how to format etc.
    • Switch off "Snap to Columns"
    • Check the values of the SharePoint columns as that can influence the coding you use.

    Hi @0orion0 ,

I think the possible solution may not be simple. You may need two tables to store education and employment data respectively. Then create two galleries in app. Add custom controls in the gallery to display two tables. Then you need to use the Patch() function to "add rows".
