Modern Controls text input tab index control

Hi,

 

I am using modern text input controls in my app. I was wondering how to manage the tab index for the modern text input control.

The classic text input has the tab index as a property, but not sure how this is handled for modern controls.

    Correct, it does not appear to be possible to set the tab index on the modern TextInput control. Perhaps this will be added in the future. However, by default, the app will try to follow the left-to-right-top-to-bottom flow.

    Insane how this control was released without a tab index option.  Still not there.  It's not the only one either that was released with less features than the classic control!

    The tab index seems to be the order in which the controls were created/dropped onto the screen, and it cannot be changed except by deleting/recreating or moving them around and renaming them as needed. It's maddening. If a client needs to add a new field, everything is out of whack.
