Combobox Show Multiple Columns (Layout option missing!?)

Hello Power Apps builders,

recently I have noticed all versions of comboboxes are missing option to display multiple columns in the flyout selection area.

Currently the classic combobox is not anymore the classic from the very first kinda bulky UI of canvas apps but rather the one that has been available in Teams Power Apps from the beginning (so fluent ui applied) and it just does not have any option I can find to force it do display multiple fields. Same goes for the modern combobox, no option to display multiple fields or choose layout of the flyout area.

The original combobox had this option to choose layout and then it was possible to have I think up to 4 fields in Person layout.

Please do not suggest to concatenate the columns since that opens another whole pit of problems if you are using forms (I know you mostly should not but there are still some old apps which do use it from the starting days of Power Apps).

So my question is basically, what on earth is happening? Are we simplifying the UI so much that now two columns in combobox are considered bad practice? I'm having hard time coming around that and it's just super annoying to deal with combobox somehow extra when using it. Am I missing something here or is this where combobox control is headed? I miss the MS Access combobox where I could do virtually anything with the combobox flyout selection.

If anyone knows how to display multiple fields without concatenating (that's a hack rather than something systemic I believe) please share your wisdom, ton of thanks in advance.

Just inserted one from the classic menu, and it has layouts available as expected.

If you mean you can't get this one in TEAMS PowerApps (I read it as you were trying to get this in regular PowerApps but all that was available to you was same one in Teams) then just make a testing app in regular powerapps outside of teams, add one of these combo boxes and copy paste it over into teams powerapps. Just tested this out and works as expected

Oh, I kinda forgot that Custom Pages have the Teams components by default. So I had to copy the original combobox from a tru canvas app and yes indeed the option is there. Still kinda sucks that I have to use this non modern looking one to achieve something so basic. But yes thanks for pointing it out, I'm creating custom pages so much that I forgot this difference. Thanks
