Ask for the location of the bot user to show the nearest branches

Hi,

I need to make a bot that allows me to ask the user for his location and with it (latitude & longitude) I can send him a chat indicating the closest places he can visit.

Is it possible to do this in PVA? Is there an example that can guide me to achieve this?

I appreciate in advance any support you can give me in this regard. Either using 'skills' or 'javascript'. Any example I will appreciate.

Thanks

Leonardo.

    Hi @castillolj ,

    Today, unfortunately, not yet.

You can suggest an idea here: https://aka.ms/pva/community/ideas

But you can send a question to the user and the users send the location with the text. Send the location using the Power Automate parameter and your workflow can use the Markdown to customize the message to send to the user.

    Maybe will help you.

Thanks for the answer, I hope you have an alternative soon, as it is something that is requested a lot (70% of the projects).

(If I am miss understanding your question my apologies)

If you have a database of your branches with URLs their lat/long (I would also add city state) then build a Flow that passes those parameters to a query you can return the URL as a link to the chatbot to show that location.

If you are using a custom canvas like a Power Apps you could use a geo aware control and pass this information to the chatbot and not even need to ask for their location.
