New Business Rule on Table throws Invalid Argument when clicking on it

Hi,

I'm new here so i'll first say Hi to everyone.

I'm trying to learn PowerApps myself so I created myself a Trial account and i'm going through the classes.

Right now I'm at the point where I need to create a New Business Rule in a table but when I click on it it brings me to a new Tab and the only thing that it shows is "Invalid Argument" with no specifics aside OrgID, etc.

Can anyone help me please? I'm running as a System Admin Role, verified I had access to everything (can't edit the role anyways), I've looked around the web and wasn't able to find anything on this. Every time I see "Invalid Argument" post, it's always associated with running it or things like that and it comes most of the time with an actual argument that is invalid.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

I had the same issue which turned out to be related to threat protection functionality of my VPN. Disabling this allowed me to add the New Business Rule.

May be try the same in an in-private browser mode.

Thank you very much this saved me so much time. For me I had some of the extra features on Nord VPN client enabled.

I just resolved the same issue Business rules throwing invalid argument error.  Also had Nord VPN on.  I disabled it but also had to disable all the options - Antimalware, Advanced browsing protection and Ad and tracker blocker and successfully launched Business Rules Designer after that.

This error is not related to permissions or rule logic. If “Invalid Argument” appears immediately when opening a new Business Rule, it usually indicates an environment or metadata issue, common in trial or newly provisioned environments.

Try creating the rule on another table or in a fresh environment. If it works there, the original environment is corrupted. Clearing browser cache or using an incognito session can help rule out session issues, but the most reliable fix is recreating the environment or contacting Microsoft support for non-trial tenants.
