Change dropdown menu to toggle

Hello,

previously I have a toggle menu based on a sharepoint list yes/no column.

I just found out that yes/no columns are not delegatable, since I cannot use lookup function on that column type.

Now I thought using a choice column to do that, but I don't know how to switch the drop down menu to a toggle with yes and no.

At least in a choice column I can use the lookup function.

I hope someone can tell me what value needs to be change when I replace the dropdown menu in the update and default part of the datacard.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best.

    HI @Applicable88 ,

    I recommend you throw away all of those and simply write the value back (as I do) to a Single Line of Text of "Yes" and "No". Please read this section of my blog on data structure.

    @WarrenBelz thank you. Thats a wonderful tip and I definitely will go through your wonderful blog.

    I changed that column to a plain single text column. But still when I replace the input field with a toggle, and do exactly what you explained at your website, the lookup for duplicates won't work.

    Even though Yes and No are Text, but when using a toggle PowerApps regards them as Value.

    I tried this as a composite key duplicate check.

    Submit button OnSelect:

    If(IsBlank(LookUp(Quality; QualityID = DataCardValue1.Text && YesOrNo=Toggle3.Value ).....

    I can submit but duplicate search isn't working.

    Is the Value of the Toggle the problem or simply that I'm doing a lookup of different Datatypes?

    The other thing that I noticed is the equal sign between YesOrNo=Toggle3.Value has a blue mark below and not hte typical red line for errors.

    Best.

    Hi @Applicable88 ,

    You simply convert it here

    With(
     {
     wYesNo:
     If(
     Toggle3.Value,
     "Yes",
     "No"
     )
     },
     If(
     IsBlank(
     LookUp(
     Quality;
     QualityID = DataCardValue1.Text && YesOrNo = wYesNo
     ). . . .

    @WarrenBelz, I definitely will following your recommendations to stick with simple plain text and number columns. I would not have run into so many problems afterwards, if I would set it right already at the SharePointList.

    Thank you.
