Barcode scanner in a form

Hello,

I have a multistep form to add assets and I want to be able to scan a barcode to input the number. Is it possible to add a barcode scanner for a field in the form for power pages? opens a camera scans it and writes the number in a field?

Hi @setzav ,
So there is an OOB Barcode scanner control, however, it wasn't designed with Power Pages in mind and to be honest, I don't think that it will work. You can try to search community made PCF components - maybe something like that will exists there, but again, keep in mind that most of them were not designed for Power Pages.

Might be late for this case, but just in case other questions. Did use 3rd party scanner library, it is easy to add to the form (through JS script, load library, on scan event update filed value). There are some free ones as well, You can use Quagga as well, and we tried but some free libraries didn't scan very specific barcode we have, so went with commercia Dynamooft. But its same idea. Load library and initialize then fill the field. Use either buton or added small scan svg icon to open scan dialog, in our case it clsing after scan.
