Custom Question Answering in Copilot Studio

I have a need in addition to gen answers to have some pre-canned q&a for around 40 questions which would get hit first before gen answers.

Is the only option to achieve this to either a) connect to azure ai language services cqa b) burn topics per q&a c) theme questions together in topic and then conditional branch for answers.

I am surprised the cqa functionality from azure ai language services is not baked in to copilot studio. Is this my only option and also is this on the roadmap for this feature to be added to copilot studio directly.

Thanks

    Hi @mobius11 ,

They turned off the option to import Suggested topics (an old feature from PVA) because now you could import the files and URLs to the GenAI feature within Copilot Studio. I raised an idea to them, you could vote by using the link below.

Another option is to create each topic with your custom trigger phrases, Copilot Studio will prioritize the topics first before the GenAI answers.

    Hi @mobius11

Yes, you need to integrate with Azure AI Language services separately as they both are different services. There is no indication from Microsoft that these will be merged into Copilot Studio.
