Show members of a Sharepoint group from the person/group column in a Power Apps

Hello,

I have a Sharepoint list that contains a Person/group column that allows selection for people Only from a Sharepoint group.

I would like the members of that Sharepoint group to be displayed when click the pull down for the Person/group column within the Power Apps form.

Does someone know how this can be achieved?
I would rather use the Person/Group column instead of a secondary list that hold the contacts, but of course I am open to any suggestions.

thanks in advance

/Mark

    Howdy Markden,

What Column Type are you using in your SharePoint list to store these names?

If it's a Choices column, than use the ``` Choices(db.Person) ``` to pull the Options from SharePoint and show the names in the DropDown List.

Just let us know what the Column Type is and the Control you're using and we should be able to help you.

Hi Joel, thanks for your answer.

Column type is person or group type, allowing selection of People only, choosing from Sharepoint group:

Within my Power Apps, I didn't do anything else than adding the column:

Instead of typing a name that returns a member from the SharePoint group, it would be great if it returns/lists all the members of the group.

I found a workaround as published by Wearsky:
Solved: Limiting choices in a person field to a SharePoint... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

It requires adding a flow that calls the SP rest API and queries the group members of the Sharepoint group. It works but a bit out of the box.

Perhaps using a secondary list with all the names and approvers listed makes more sense, but I really hoped the Person Group column would be able to show members from a SP group when selecting rather than inputting a users' name first..

    Still open for other suggestions,.
