Shifts for microsoft Team in PowerApps

Hi All,

I am working on a powerApps project where i need my team’s Shift information from ‘Shift for Microsoft Team’ app in MS Teams to populate in powerapps or sharepoint.

Is there any connector or Api available for the same, i tried populating Data table in the powerapps using ListShifts function by passing Team ID as parameter, it didn’t work as nothing returned.

I am able to manually export the shift information in excel from the shifts app using feature available in MS team.

I also tried ‘List all shifts’ in powerAutomate to get the shift details, it didn’t show the person name who is coming in which shift.

I want to automate this step.

Please share your valuable inputs, thank you.

If you are using the Shifts connector in PowerApps you need to add ".value" at the end of the ListShifts command.

    e.g.

    ShiftsforMicrosoftTeams.ListShifts(strGroupID, {'$top':5000}).value

By default the connector will only list the first 100 rows retrieved.  Use the "top" command as above to get up to 5000 rows.  There is also a startTime and endTime parameter, but these only work with published (shared) shifts.

When using the connector in Power Automate, you need to do an Apply to Each to look up the user details using the Office 365 User connector.  Something like below. Replace the Compose with an Excel add row / CDS add row.

Exporting from the Shift App within Teams only does a limited range (I think 45 days from memory?).  So a bit limiting depending on what you want to do.

Is it supposed to be group ID or the team ID? Does it need to be in quotes, double-quotes, etc?

For the life of me I cannot find a single example of a call. Everything I try results in an error.
