Hello Community,I have inserted a PowerApp in PowerBI and next to it is a table, if I save an entry every day in the PowerApp via the button, then it is entered directly in Sharepoint. But I also want the table in PowerBI to be updated.I want to insert a symbol and if you click on it then they are updated. Is that possible? Can someone please tell me what I need to do?
Thanks

Hi @Adinator ,
Have you had a look at any of the solutions mentioned in this topic: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Refresh-Power-BI-dataset-through-PowerApps/td-p/1506623 ?
Yes, I looked at it but I don't understand it or it's not a solution. Can you give me a direct solution?
Having had another look, why add a button to refresh the dataset if you can also have the Power BI dataset updated automatically when any changes are made in the data source (SharePoint).
This tutorial describes just that: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/refresh-your-power-bi-dataset-using-microsoft-flow/
It must be noted that Power Automate did see some changes since the tutorial was written (rebranded to Power Automate from Microsoft Flow for instance), so you need to take that into account.
i didn't make it, how do you mean? this is too complicated i just don't want to click on update data anymore, as soon as i have new data the table should be updated.
Where in the tutorial are you getting stuck? It should give you a solution that performs just that what you describe:
The flow is triggered when an item is created or modified and then refreshes the dataset.
Hi @BCBuizer
I have a powerapp visual in powerbi. This PowerApp visual is an attendance list when it is filled then I click on the button save and the values are transferred to sharepoint list then the visual should be automatically updated with the values in powerBI (pie chart). Can you help me with this please?
The blog link I posted earlier will help you do this, using Power Automate.
Whenever you use the PowerApp visual, that will create or modify an item in SharePoint, which is then picked up by the flow which, in turn, will refresh the dataset. The latter means the Power BI report gets updated, closing the workflow you are describing:
i did it 1:1, but i'm doing something wrong.
Can you please share what you have done to review?
