Pay-as-you-go billing gets disabled after app update

Hi

We've noticed that pay-as-you-go billing gets disabled after an update has been made to the app. Is there any way to keep this setting enabled, even after updates?

Thank you!

Thomas

    Hi @Thomas86,

Pay as you go is applied to an environment as a whole via a billing policy. I'm not sure why updating an app would cause it to be disabled. I would suggest logging a ticket with Microsoft support if it keeps happening.

    Hi @ChrisPiasecki

Thank you for your answer, but that's not completely true. I know that you need to apply pas-as-you-go billing via policy for the environment, but aside from that, you are also able to enable/disable pay-as-you-go billing for specific apps by going to the PowerApps portal (not the admin portal) --> Apps --> Select Specific App --> Pay-As-You-Go Billing. Please look at this printscreen to see what I mean...

It is this setting that gets disabled whenever the app has been updated. The policy for the environment doesn't change.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Thomas86 ,

As per Set up a pay-as-you-go plan - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs,

Connecting an Azure subscription to an environment turns on pay-as-you-go billing for all apps within that environment.

So - the pay-as-you-go-billing should be enabled always in this environment.

As per @ChrisPiasecki suggestion please raise a MS Support ticket to understand the difference of behavior.
