Hi All,
I have created a Power Apps whose data source is SharePoint list. In future we planned to move that SharePoint list items to On-Premise SQL Server because we are looking to manage the volume of the lists.
So i am trying to install a gateway.
I have few questions:
-What are the sequence of steps to achieve the above requirement?
-Do i need to install the gateway in the machine where sql server is located or i can install gateway anywhere?
-Only Admin can install the Gateway or can i install the gateway on my own?
- I have 3 servers (Dev, QA and Prod) - so do i need to install the gateway on those 3 servers or it will work if i do on my local system itself. (Seems like the system where we are installing the gateway should not get turned off).
Please help me out.
Thanks in Advance
Prakash
You can find a guide to installing/setting up the on prem gateway here:

Are you aware of the licensing requirements to access your SQL data from PowerApps? Every user of an App that connects to the data will need premium licensing so do take that into account.
