Unauthenticated Copilot Studio can find some answers on Internal Company Sites?

My unauthenticated Copilot Studio Demo currently has one internal company SharePoint as it's data source with its generative AI setting set to "Boost conversational coverage with generative answers". It currently has no manual connection or authorisation as it's authentication is sent to "Only for Teams and Power Apps" rather than "Manual (for custom website). I am logged into my company account when accessing copilot.

However, When i insert information about our company like "Tell me about *insert my company name*". It returns a prompt for one of our products rather than a company description with their source being a PDF 4 levels deep into our SharePoint source (eg. https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/sharepoint/subpage/subpage sharepoint list/pdf of product). Whilst it didn't exactly answer my question ( which i expected), it still managed to find an answer which I'm assuming it shouldn't have as it isn't authorised to access the SharePoint.

It seems to only be able to give answers purely in references to PDFs on the sharepoint which is wierd

1) Is there a reasoning for this occurrence where it can do this despite no manual authentication and 2) Can i expect it to give better relevant answers once i connect it via manual authentication or is it's answer going to be the same no matter?

Generative answers SharePoint requires end users of the copilot to authenticate. You can use Teams or Manual auth. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/nlu-generative-answers-sharepoint-onedrive

- I was more wondering how my copilot can still access and refer to company SharePoint documents (not page information though) even when it’s unauthenticated? As I thought it needs to be authenticated to even be able to access company SharePoint and their documents

It is possible, if you are okay with creating more of a customized flow: access Graph API search with a service principal, and then feed the 3 top results to Generative Answers as custom data.
