Combo Box search is not working with data source as excel. I can see the items in the combo box , but when I search for the items in combo box , the combo box is not showing items even it is present in that items list.

    You're right.

    In my test with a Classic ComboBox, I got this error:
    Error when trying to retrieve data from the network: ')' or ',' expected at position 14 in 'contains(Last Name,'s')'. inner exception: ')' or ',' expected at position 14 in 'contains(Last Name,'s')'. clientRequestId: XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX
    Which, I think is code (Microsoft) behind the code (us).

    When I tested with a Modern ComboBox, it worked fine.

    Wish I had better news.

    Hi @tsa-svd2srv,
    Thanks For Your Response,
    Yes, With classic combo box I'm getting the same error , but when I use modern combo box , if I search for the item which is already in the list of items , after my typing in search stops , it is loading and getting nothing.

    Thanks
    Radhika

    From your Modern ComboBox, please provide the code from these properties:
    • Items
    • SearchFields
    • OnChange
    • OnSelect

    In Items property I have
    With(
       {
          _Start:
          Filter(
             Windchill_Data,
             StartsWith(
                ID,
                Self.SearchText
             )
          )
       },
       Sort(
          Distinct(
             _Start,
            ID
          ),
          Value
       )
    )

    And if you see the modern combo box , there is no search field property

    And No OnSelect Property.

    Thank You
    Radhika

    Please try this:

    Items:
    Sort(
        Distinct(
            Windchill_Data,
            ID
        ),
        Value
    )

    Then check your Fields property to be sure only Value is there (which, it looked like it was in your image):

    Let me know how it goes.
