How to disable users from creating Dataverse for Teams Environments?

Our org occasionally sees these Dataverse for Teams environments being created by our end users.  Is there any way to prevent this from occuring?

In the Power Platform Admin Center, I've already set Developer/Production/Trial Environment Assignments to "Only specific admins" but this did not seem to fix it.  New Teams dataverse environments were still created by end users after changing these settings.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @lcordov2

    The Dataverse for Teams environment is automatically created for the selected team when you create an app or bot in Microsoft Teams for the first time or install an app created using Power Apps from the app catalog for the first time.

    So what you  need to do here is to disable the users from creating the power apps in the teams admin center

    Please check the below articles:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-apps

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-apps#allow-access-to-an-app-for-users-and-groups

    I do believe in your case you will need to have a custom policy created and then assign the policy to the users whom you need to prevent from creating the dataverse environment:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-app-permission-policies

    @Mira_Ghaly It doesn't seem the users in these groups have created any apps or bots within Teams.  I haven't seen any existing Power Apps that were installed(pinned?) onto the teams either.

    Additionally we have Global Teams App Permissions policies in place. For all 3 categories (Microsoft Apps, Third Party Apps, Custom Apps) we have them set to "Allow specific apps and block all others."  Could this setting be why new environments are being created?

    @lcordov2

    Possibly yes this setting can allow the apps to be created and hence the environments , also you won't be able to see the apps if they haven't been shared or at least a part of the teams group.
