Cannot save coordinates - SQL server backend

Hi everyone,

I am getting a weird error  when trying to save coordinates using mobile app I am developing. App si connected on a backend SQL Server (Office 365). I don't think field format is the issue (Numeric, floating decimals). Please see attached picture - I don't know why this occures.

Another thing, default value for latitude field is Location.latitude.

Help is much appreciated, becasue I can't go on until this is fixed...Smiley Sad

Salut Lucian, o sa incerc sa te ajut.

What happens if you bind the text input control (that you currently have bound to Location.Latitude) to a simple numeric value with decimals? E.g. 1.23456, or in your case 1,2345 (with a comma decimal separator).

Next, are you getting the same error if you bind the text input control to a numeric value without any decimals?

Next, are you getting the same error if you bind the text input control to a numeric value using an en-US decimal separator ('.')?

    Hi Radu,

Thank you very much for your answer. I have done some further investigations, looks like on Windows computer everything works fine. Problem occures on Android phone. I think you're right, it has sometihing to do with comma "," and dot ".".

On windows, coordinates are shown as 32.2525 while on Android is like 32,2525.

In this situation, what is the workaround?

I tried to change field to text, stil I am getting same error...

    Hi Radu,

I managed to fix this somehow - as a workaround, use text field and re-creating application again, problem was fixed. You gave a good hint on how to solve this, so I will mark this as solved.

However, I will open a new thread, as I am encontering another issue - Powerapp is not working on iPad...
