Copilot Studio solution has dependency on "Power Virtual Agents" solution?

Hi there

I have a Copilot Studio agent which I want to export. Hence, I go to the respective solution with the agent in it and I export it. Surprisingly, I get the warning below telling me that there is a dependency on a managed solution called PowerVirtualAgents with version 2024.11.2.15950587 and that a later import will fail if this managed solution does not exist in the new environment.

Hmmmm... I know alerts about dependencies on missing Connector objects but what is the above? I run the solution checker but it only alerted me about missing Connector objects (which I resolved) but did not tell me about missing solution PowerVirtualAgents. Plus, if I got to my solutions overview page I don't see any solution with the name PowerVirtualAgents.

What is this? This makes me nervous because if I don't know what this might be it kind of gets difficult to make sure this is available in the target envionment for the import not to fail.

    Hello,

is it an old agent from the times before rebranding? :-) If this is the case, then it's possible that there's a solution which contains some foundational objects for it to work properly. You should find this solution on the target environment and in case it's not available, you should transport it.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Hi Artur

No, I have created this agent from scratch 1 month ago. And in my environment is no solution called Power Virtual Agents nor have I ever created a solution with such a name. Plus I am new to Copilot Studio and never did anything with Power Virtual Agents in the time before rebranding.

    Hello,

then it's maybe related to the environment itself? Or it's some kind of bug? Who knows... ;-) Nevertheless, I'd suggest to try to deploy and see what happens - you don't have any other way and I don't see any option to check.

And in the meantime: I've just opened a group related to Copilot/Copilot Studio. Maybe you'd like to join? I've got a plan for it to be a place where we can help each other: https://community.powerplatform.com/usergroups/details/?groupid=dbc367c2-b7b7-ef11-b8e8-7c1e5259f813
