How do you add an item onto the current collection on Power Apps

Hi, I'm new to Power apps and was wondering if I can get any suggestions on how I can add an item (value) onto this current collection.

Hi @cnoh ,

It seems that it is a collection, you can use Collect or Patch to update items of it and the formula should be on behavior properties, such as OnSelect of button.
Here is document for your reference:
Patch function (contains video) - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn [1533-387a-452-97c3]
OnSelect of a button:
Patch(colRequesStatus,Defaults(colRequesStatus),{Value:"test"})
Collect, Clear, and ClearCollect functions - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
OnSelect of a button:
Collect(colRequesStatus,{Value:"test"})

Hi Rimmon, thank you for your help. I tried both of the formulas and it's still not populating from the drop down box...
