When using form with related tables in subgridand trying to make a the new entry form in Child Table . The form that pop up do not have the information from selected parent table. Is there a way to make Child Form populate some field from Parent when new entry?I have seen some solution but have not understanding, most of this is in classic view and that is too complicated for me. Is there any way to make a flow?
@FelipePanza You can easily do it via mapping.
1. Open the relationship(parent and child entity). you wil find mapping in the left navigation. you can add as much field from parent to child. Please note field data type should be same in parent entity and child entity (eg text field can be mapped to text field, Lookup to Lookup field of same type.)
@gowrihalan04 I went to the parent table -> open relationship -> Find the relationship but I do not have these options. Did you mean classic view? Or do I have to have a solution? I do not have a solution, can I move the tables to a solution?
@gowrihalan04 I find out mapping options in classic view. But the field that I want to map are primary column and alternate keys. I could not map this in the classic view. I suppose this is because of that there is already a relationship created. I am at starting point again. I expected that when click on new entry in subgrid the form should get related informasjon from Parent.
