Hi,

I have a canvas-based application with more than 10 screens, each containing over 10 fields.

I have created a Save button component and added it to all screens, and when the user clicks it, I want to display a preview screen showing each field's old value and current value (if changed; otherwise, it should display the old value).

To achieve this, I plan to:

However, I would like to know if there is a better or more optimal solution to implement this preview functionality. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  • Capture the initial values in variables when the item opens.

  • Store the updated values in variables.

  • Display these values in a form on the preview screen when the user clicks the Save button.

  • Add a Final Save button on the preview screen for confirmation.

Thank you,

    @OK29 Hi,
    I would say use a table to save the values if you use dataverse, if you don't, save it in  sharepoint list.

    Hi @OK29,
    Probably the easiest way would be to do two identical collections at the start with the "old" record, then patch to the second one as items are changed. You could use a Table Variable, but collections are less complex to update. You can then easily display both data sets and if the users is happy, you can Patch the "new" collection to the data source.
