How to remove delegation warning message on PowerApps formula using SORT

Hello experts!

The following  delegation message appears in my formulas after including "Sort".  Kindly note the follwoinf formula is used in a Drop-down field. Last week I noticed this warning in the application, previously this message did not appear in the formula.

Formula: Sort(Distinct(Filter('SP List',ColumnNameCountry=LabelCountry.Text),States),Result,Ascending)

DelegationMessage.JPG

 This formula filters the states based on the country selected, in order to only show in the Drop-down the states that matched the that specific country.

I will really appreciate any suggestion to know how I can avoid this 🙂

Thank you!

    If your datasource rows and/or the results returned are under the Record Limit in your app, then you can ignore the warning.

    If not, then consider the following formula:

    With({listData: Filter('SP List',ColumnNameCountry=LabelCountry.Text)},
     Sort(
     Distinct(listData,States),
     Result,
     Ascending
     )
    )

    I hope this is helpful for you.

    Hi @RandyHayes thank you for your prompt response,

    Kindly note I used the formula proposed, however I still got the delegation warning.  I also noticed a typo from my previous formula, the LabelCountry.Text is not a label but a Drop-down, due to this the formula for this will be "DropdownCountry.SelectedText.Value)".

    Could you please let me know if I am missing something?

    Thank you!

    @vsolanon

    Works fine here...even without the With.

    So, first I can update the formula to this:

    With({listData: Filter('SP List',ColumnNameCountry=LabelCountry.Selected.Value)},
     Sort(
     Distinct(listData,States),
     Result,
     Ascending
     )
    )

    (don't use SelectedText on the dropDown - it is a deprecated property)

    So, tell me this - what is the column type for ColumnNameCountry?  And also for States?
