SubmitForm Error - "Edm Object passed should have the options selected. "

PowerApps Community,

I'm experiencing an error that is driving me nuts.

Dataverse table with ColumnA and ColumnB.  Both ColumnA and ColumnB use OptionChoiceSetX with Options - A, B, C, D.

In my PowerApp I have a Modern Form containing Combo boxes for ColumnA and ColumnB.

I can select any option for ColumnA - no problems - SubmitForm works fine.

If I select option A for ColumnB - SubmitForm works fine.

If I select any other option for ColumnB - SubmitForm errors out with error message - "Edm Object passed should have the options selected. "

Unless I'm missing something the setup for the two combo boxes is the same.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    Hilariously, after spending half the day yesterday miserably failing to fix this, I worked it out 15 minutes after posting the question.

    It's a little complicated, but problem wasn't ColumnA or ColumnB.

    There are Combo Boxes for ColumnA2 and ColumnB2

    DefaultSelectedItems property for ColumnA2 Combo Box:

    If(
        Or(
            ColumnAComboBox.Selected.Value = OptionChoiceSetX.B,
            ColumnAComboBox..Selected.Value = OptionChoiceSetX.C,
            ColumnAComboBox.Selected.Value = OptionChoiceSetX.D
        ),
        Parent.Default,
        []
    )

    DefaultSelectedItems property for ColumnB2 Combo Box:

    If(
        Or(
            ColumnbComboBox.Selected.Value = OptionChoiceSetX.B,
            ColumnBComboBox..Selected.Value = OptionChoiceSetX.C,
            ColumnBComboBox.Selected.Value = OptionChoiceSetX.D
        ),
        [Parent.Default],
        []
    )

    Selecting B, C or D in the ColumnB combo box, updated selected items in the ColumnB2 combo box to a table of a table. SubmitForm errors because ColumnB2 data is mis-formatted.

    Lesson learned - Parent.Default for a multi-select choice column is a table. Shouldn't be surrounded by square brackets.

    I am so glad you worked it out. I do have a small ask. I'd like you to review your question and the detail you provide, versus what was real.

    If in the future you'd shared pictures people would have seen that and maybe yourself lol. sometimes its not new eyes LOL its how our own eyes see it, when we are "incidentally" seeing it how someone else will and going DOH!

    cheers and congrats
