Hello all,
I have 3 dataflows (reading from SQL database and writing into Dataverse tables) in the solution.
When I have moved the solution from Dev to Test, it became managed solution. I see dataflows in the solution but they are with Status "Off" and no data coming through them to the tables.
P.S. Dataflows are set refresh automatically every 30 minutes (in the DEV environment settings).
Please, advise on what I can do?!
Thank you in advance,
Alexandra
Check out what Andrew Elans posted here: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Dataverse/Dataflows-missing-from-list-but-still-exist-and-run/td-p/1641223
That should resolve the issue. Sidenote, I found that I had to completely remove the solution that contained the dataflows to make this work.
Hi @ArisTale,
We encountered not being able to open a dataflow after it was promoted to Test in a managed solution. The dataflows were owned by the admin after being promoted. After changing the dataflow owner back to the user who created them, the edit option was enabled for the user and they could change the credentials as shown above by @EricRegnier.
The change owner option was difficult to locate. After Dataflows is selected from the left nav menu, the change owner option is on the All Dataflows tab, under "..." shown below. Hope this helps.

This is a very good explanation on HOW to deal with dataflows during export/import BUT in my case dataflows don't appear at the Dataverse - Dataflows in the end environment. They sit only in Solution from where I can't open them and proceed with "connections"...
.
No Cloud Flows - Dataflows - but inside Soultion.
Hello Eric,
I don't get you.
I have dataflows in Env 1 and they are part of the solution I am going to move as managed solution into Env 2. There, in the Env 2, my dataflows are NOT visible in the folder under Dataverse - Dataflows. They are visible inside solution as Cloud flows but they are not working - not bringing me data. I want them to work. Can you describe how to enable them in more details?!
Best regards,
Alexandra
Hi @ArisTale,
This is as designed behavior because you'll need to setup the connection before it can be turned on. To do this, in Maker portal go to Dataverse --> Dataflows --> select your Dataflow --> click Edit in the ellipse then a notification will popup to configure the connection like the image below. Save all and publish at the end.
Hope this helps!
