Filtering a Gallery Based on Another Gallery

Hi there,

I'm a beginner at PowerApps so please bear with me.

I have 2 galleries - CategoryGallery and EquipmentGallery.

In my CategoryGallery items I have:

Distinct('EMF Equipment Log',Category.Value)

I want my EquipmentGallery to filter based off of what is selected in the CategoryGallery.

In the items field on Equipment Gallery I put:

Filter('EMF Equipment Log',Category = CategoryGallery.Selected.Category)
 
However this in an error. The Category field is a choice column in SharePoint.

Hi ewk431 ,

Try the below process and method might help -

1) CategoryGallery apply the below code ( I think which is already there)

Distinct('EMF Equipment Log', Category.Value)

2) EquipmentGallery update with this one. - ( It will filter equipment based on selected category)
Filter('EMF Equipment Log', Category.Value = CategoryGallery.Selected.Value)
