[Urgent] - Sandbox Environment Power App Unusable, See Attached Screenshots

I was developing my Sandbox Environment Canvas App as normal on Friday but when I returned to edit it today every screen, component, and container has shrunk. Moreover, all the Dataverse connections in my Forms and Galleries are not connected (see attached screenshots).

I have tried the following to no avail:
  • Restoring from a backup
  • Logging in/out of Power Apps and closing my browser
  • Refreshing the editor
What is interesting is when I duplicate any of the broken components, the duplicates look exactly as they did on Friday. In addition, I see no error's (small red Xs) on any of my formulas on any page (as seen in the screenshots). This leads me to believe that my app or the editor is somehow stuck in a state where it has not yet populated my form settings, containers, screen sizes, etc., however this is just speculation.

After reading some other forum posts with similar issues, my app may be using an outdated Auditing version, however, I am unable to edit my version in the Canvas App's editor Settings > Support page.

One final note: I have other apps in other Sandbox environments on the same account that were not affected. I originally thought the cause of my issue was that Microsoft released some sort of Canvas update over the weekend but if that were the case then all of my apps would be affected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This sounds like a frustrating issue, and based on what you've described, it could be a corrupt app state, a Dataverse connection issue, or a Power Apps update affecting this specific environment. Since your other apps are unaffected, it's likely something specific to this Sandbox environment.

    Possible Causes and Fixes

    1. The App Is Stuck in an Unrendered or Corrupt State

Since duplicating components restores their correct appearance, it suggests that the app editor is failing to render them properly. Try these steps:

    • Force Refresh the App in Edit Mode
      • Open the app in the editor.
      • Press Ctrl + Shift + R (force reload in most browsers).
      • If nothing changes, try opening it in an incognito/private window.
      • If the issue persists, try a different browser.
    • Export and Reimport the App
      • Export the app as a package (File > Save As > This Computer).
      • Create a new blank app and import the package.
      • If the issue is corruption, the new instance might load correctly.

    2. Dataverse Connection Issues

Since your Forms and Galleries lost their Dataverse connections, try these fixes:

    • Manually Reconnect Data Sources
      • Go to Data > Add Data > Select Dataverse and reconnect your tables.
      • If the connections are broken, remove them completely and add them back.
    • Check Environment-Specific Issues
      • Go to Power Platform Admin Center → Environments
      • Check if your Sandbox has any recent updates or failures.

    3. Sandbox-Specific Issue

If only this Sandbox is affected, try:

    • Creating a New App in the Same Sandbox
      • If a new app in this Sandbox also has issues, then the entire environment is affected.
      • If a new app works fine, your app might be corrupted or outdated.
    • Check for Dataverse or Power Apps Updates
      • Go to Power Platform Admin Center → Updates
      • See if an update was pushed over the weekend that could be causing rendering issues.

    4. Outdated Auditing Version & Unsupported Features

If you suspect your app is running an older version of Power Apps auditing and can't update it:

    • Create a New App & Copy Components Over
      • Make a new blank Canvas app.
      • Copy/paste screens and components into it one by one to avoid copying over corruption.
    • Check Power Apps Editor Version
      • Open Settings > Support and check the version number.
      • Compare it to your working apps in other environments.

    5. Open a Microsoft Support Ticket

If none of the above fixes work, then it's likely a backend issue affecting your Sandbox.

    • Go to Power Platform Admin Center > Help + Support > New Support Request
    • Describe the issue and attach screenshots and the affected environment name.
    • If it's a bug in a Power Apps update, Microsoft might need to roll it back.
