PowerApps thinks it is offline - connectivity issue

When accessing PowerApps through a mobile device, it seems to think it is offline – it only displays a subset of apps, and when launching these apps (they were built with offline capabilities) we cannot submit data using Flow (Run Failed: Connection not configured for this service).

I found nothing online on this issue – is anyone else experiencing this problem?

This issue came up a few days ago, and has been present since for myself and users (iOS and Android). We are using the latest version of PowerApps.

I found that closing and reopening Powerapps works to get it back to online/connected, however signing in and out did not help. I even reinstalled Powerapps yet no change.

Any help would be appreciated! 🙂

    Hi @Anonymous,

Which OS version does your Mobile device belong to?

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The OS version of my Mobile device is 7.1.1 and the version of my PowerApps Mobile App is 3.18042.25. Please check if the Network is in good condition within your Mobile device.

If your Mobile device is Android device, please update the version of your device to Android 7 or later, if your Mobile device is iOS device, please update the version of your device to iOS 10 or later. Then try your PowerApps app again to check if the issue is solved.

More details about the System requirements for Mobile device to run PowerApps app, please check the following article:

Supported platforms for running apps using the PowerApps app

    Best regards,

    Kris

I have experienced the same issue. My device is iOS 11.3 using PowerApps 3.18043.21. I have noticed it while on wifi at work and at home. No network issues at either place as far as I could tell. I haven't experienced it on a cellular network but I rarely use PowerApps that way. It seems pretty random and doesn't happen often but it has occurred about a half dozen times in the past week or so. Closing and reopening the app fixes it for me as well.

    Hi

It occurred on an adroid mobile (OS Android 7.0) and an ipad mini 4 (iOS 11). As wyotim suggested it is happening for others as well and the wifi connection seems to be stable. Will observe this over the next days to see if it changes, perhaps our local wifi was having a problem, dropping in and out..

This happened again today and I was aware of the scenario this time so hopefully this will be of some help. I used an app today on my phone and went about my business without closing out of it. Later on, I used the app shortcut (the icon you get after using Pin to Home) to open the app. The app then showed as being offline (for this app, I have an indicator in the bottom right to let the user know if it is connected or offline as this app is used in the field where there is often no wifi or cell service).

I checked to see if my device had a data connection by using a web browser to navigate to some sites, which worked just fine. I made sure I was on wifi and not cellular data. I went back to the PowerApp to see if it was still offline, which it was. I closed the app using the swipe right action and tried to refresh using the icon in the upper section of the app PowerApps, which was unresponsive to this action. I closed PowerApps itself, restarted, and everything worked.

This app is a dev/test version and I was adding some features, publishing, and testing on my phone before this happened. I can't remember if I was doing that in previous cases where this occurred.

Apologies for the length of this post but hopefully there is something of use in here! Smiley Very Happy

    Thanks.

For us it occurred on devices that were using their own data plans rather than wifi, accessing PowerApps through the icon on the home screen. Accessing PowerApps on a computer through the O365 portal has been working fine all along.

I am just curious if this happens for others as well, and if not, what are we doing differently?
