I have a Sharepoint list (Office 365) that is functioning fine within Sharepoint. I created a simple/default app to display the list in the app. The app worked fine initially. As I submitted it to my testers - coincidentally, the day I trained them on the usage - connectivity became intermittent. 3-4 of us were accessing the app and we'd have to refresh a few times to see data. Now, a week or so later, it will not work at all.
Upon opening the app, I get the refresh dots across the top, but it only shows 0 results. The dots move for a while as if trying to connect. From this, I make the assumption that it never connects.
I tried to create a new app and it worked for a day or two and then it did the same thing. I have tried twice since to create new apps, but they never show any results. This is true from the app on the mobile device as well as during the app design in PowerApps.
I have other apps on the same Sharepoint site (different lists) that function as expected. The only difference between when the app initially worked and the failure is that I created some workflows in Sharepoint Designer, but their function is primarily email notification; not affected the data. Plus, no major SD changes were made after the app was functioning.
Any ideas what may cause this and how to fix it? I could recreate the list, but I have the workflows notifying 80 locations over 5 states. I hesitate to recreate a working system, replacing URL shortcuts, etc., if there's an easier fix (or if the problem will occur again).
I do not work with SP, but I wanted to note that on days when PA gets updated to a new version like today (2.0.490), my apps do not load certain tables until I resave the app in the new version.
YMMV
