According to the sales info the Dataverse size is very limited. I was looking at perhaps adopting this to perhaps convert the next version of our application to PowerApps however just one of our databases well exceeds 2GB. Much less combining them all. Does this mean we are better off sticking to our current SQL Azure database?
Hi @myCatalayst,
Up to now "Dataverse for Teams" does have a max of 2GB space but the system/apps/database will still continue function if the size exceeds that. You just won't be able to create new tables/columns/etc. I suspect this will change though with customer feedback...I agree 2GB is not a lot!
Standard Dataverse does not have a limit. Probably standard Dataverse would be a better option for you will full set of capabilities, including embedding apps in Teams. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/create-environment#create-an-environment-with-a-database
Hope this helps....
I think you may have seen the size limitation for Dataverse for Teams, which is 2GB.
The Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) database can be up to 4TB in size.
The reference below has more informed regarding the Dataverse vs Dataverse for Teams comparison.

Hi,
I know the thread is already closed for a while, but I hope to get an answer here:I'm currently using Dataverse for Teams with my Power App I'm developing in Teams. I know about the 2GB limit and wanted to check, how much of that storage I'm already using. But I wasn't able to find out the current size of my dataset. Unfortunately, I cannot use Admin Center, because there is no environment, since PowerApps for Teams creates separate environments.
Where do I have to look?
Kind regards
Felix

Hi @FelixRech, you can use Admin Centre for this. Your Teams environments are shown there.
Navigate to Resources --> Capacity --> Microsoft Teams tab
Hope this helps!
Hey EricRegnier,
thanks for the answer. It seems that I dont have the right permissions in the admincenter to view the environments. But I was in contact with the IT team and yes, they indeed can view the size of the environment in the admin Center.
Kind regards!
