Dataverse - license for end user

Hi,

I want to build an app that will use dataverse tables to store the data. What kind of license end user will need to have to use this app?  Is it required to have Power App Per App per User, Power App per User, or pay-as-you go license? Is is enough to license the end user by basic license (Office 365)?

    Hey @MikeAutomates ,

no the basic 365 licence is not enough. It doesn't really matter which PowerApps Plan you choose, you can use Dataverse tables as a source with all plans. Keep in mind that if you use a dataverse table in you app, that all users who use the App need to have a Power Apps subsciption.

You will need to have any of the 3 "Premium" licenses to use the full capabilities of Dataverse in your power apps (Power App Per App per User, Power App per User, or pay-as-you go license).  You can use Dataverse for Teams if you just want to use your base Office365 license.  The Dataverse for Teams allows for a subset of functionality of the full Dataverse, but you can create tables, columns, relationships and interact with them with Power Apps canvas apps (constrained to Teams environment).

Ok great. I have M365 Business and Powerapps ansd in fact constrained to Teams. I dont use teams and would like to find the addon. I've asked Micriosoft and they send me docs with tons of fluff except for the answer: WHERE DO YOU FIND THESE ADDONS AND HOW MUCH DO THEY COST.

Seems like they dont want to sell licenses, I've spent two days trying to sift through their nonsense and am about ready to forget it and just continue to use SharePoint as my data source. Why so convoluted and complicated???Aye yi yi yi yi.

It appears that Microsoft has recently removed the per app and pay as you go plan from their marketing page.  It is still available, you just need to dig for it.

Thanks Anchov. I'll check it out, although never saw this in my M365 Admin.

After this amount of digging, I think they should pay me to use it.

    Cheers

Wow finally found it AND luck me, it's even more expensive that your research. That's why there are so many proctologists here in Canada.
