Transcripts continue to be saved after turning off in environment settings

In the environment settings for Copilot Studio agents, there are two features that can be turned off - "Allow agent owners and editors to see session transcripts from conversation interactions in their agents" and "Allow conversation transcripts and their associated metadata to be saved in Dataverse (required for enhanced reporting)".

These settings are turned off in my environment following these instructions, but I can still see transcripts from conversations after the setting change being recorded in the ConversationTranscripts Dataverse table. I had assumed from the instructions that I'd be able to see transcripts prior to the setting change, but not after.

Is this the correct behaviour of these settings?
